you will learn.
This course covers organic search engine optimization – in
other words, how to use your time and creativity to attract leads
online. We will also cover local search.
We do not cover
pay per click or other paid search engine marketing strategies.
Homework
– plan on spending anywhere from 1 to 4 hours per week
completing homework assignments.
Session
1 - Planning.
In this session, you will learn how to create your SEO Success
Blueprint.
We will cover: identifying your target audience, tying your
SEO efforts to your overall marketing goals, creating your conversion
goals (a key, but often ignored component of successful SEO), what the
search engines want, and brainstorming keywords.
Session
2 - Researching and choosing keywords.
In this session, you will discover how to choose the keywords potential
clients will use when they are (a) actively seeking or (b) in the
market for your services. In addition, this session will cover
targeting keywords for local clients (also known as local search).
Session
3 - On page/on site SEO.
In this session, you will learn how to optimize your web pages. Topics
cover editing your web site copy so that it appeals to prospects and
search engines.

4 - Link Building.
Of the top 5
SEO factors identified by search engine marketing professionals, 3 involve some sort of link building.
All links are not created equal, however. We will cover site
submission, how to respond to link sharing requests, and creating your
link exchange strategy. In addition, I will share some sites that have
great SEO juice.
Session
5 - Measuring your performance.
Although I've had some success in improving a client's position in less
than a month, on average it takes 3-6 months to really get traction. In
this session, we'll go over measuring your performance and analyzing
results. We will also cover ongoing SEO tasks.
Social & Local SEO.
Social media is becoming criticla to the success of any SEO strategy. This session covers how to leverage SEO in other online marketing
activities, including article marketing and social media. This session also covers the specific steps businesses must take to attract local customers.

Policy
If instructor cancels class, students will be issued a full refund. If
a student cancels registration, at least one week prior to class,
instructor will issue a refund less $20 administrative fee or 15%, whichever is greater. No refunds
will be issued if student cancels within a week of class; student will
be issued a credit. Credits are good for 90 days.
