Workforce Development Training Programs
Integrating Technology in your Job Search
A working knowledge of Internet and technology job search techniques is a requirement, even for jobs that do not require high technology skills. "Integrating Technology in your Job Search" is a beginner's course for those who do not know how to leverage technology in their job search.
In this step-by-step course, participants learn how to set up a professional email address, software tips to make it easy to quickly respond to job opportunities, how to post their resumes to Internet job sites, how to use technology to find their target companies, unconventional yet highly effective job search sites, and more.
Target audiences for this training include people returning to the workforce, recent graduates of job training programs, and people in career transition.
Using Technology to Access the "Hidden" Job Market
(Blogs, Social Networking Sites, and more)
Statistics show that over 80% of available jobs are never advertised. In this intermediate level course, participants will learn how to use blogs and professional social networking sites (such as LinkedIn) to be visible and available to recruiters and hiring managers.
